Tina Wooldridge grew up in Pennsylvania and Florida, always having and loving pets. While in her teens, she began to attend dog shows hoping to someday have a show dog of her own. She acquired her first Airedale Terrier in 1982, and did her own grooming.

When TIna moved to Alaska she was thrilled to acquire her first show dog, an Airedale, from a well-known breeder. Consulting regularly with the breeder to study and learn the fine details about proper grooming methods and techniques, she was able to master the grooming to competition standards – and showed her in conformation classes, winning points on her. It was then that Tina realized she was "hooked", and wanted to have the hand-stripped Terriers she groomed look their very best.

After moving back to Florida, Tina networked and connected with top breeders and handlers at dog shows so she could further the diversity of skills she needed to groom other terrier breeds for the show ring (such as Wire Fox and Norwich Terriers).

With her hand stripping skills perfected, and a keen eye to observe a dog's body structure, Tina Wooldridge has groomed, achieved points and champion-finished most of the hand-stripped Terrier breeds.

Tina's grooming skills grew to be quite diverse. She began expertly grooming other breeds to their AKC, UKC and International Championships, including: Irish Wolfhound, Giant Schnauzer, and Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen.

To further hone her grooming skill sets, Tina mentored under Karen Gunter – a grooming competition and show-sweepstakes judge,  and one of the nation's top terrier specialists. Over the decades they still share not only a great friendship, but their common passion and interest: Airedale Terriers.

Tina worked as a professional dog groomer in College Park for over 2 decades at Town and Country Pet Salon (owned by Karen Gunter), and then at A Terrier Tail. She continually strives to expertly groom and pay great attention to detail – and even though her "heart" is specializing in terrier grooming, Tina Wooldridge now grooms all breeds.

Tina also co-owns Wire Fox Terriers with well-known breeder Lynn Sobin-Comstock (of Thornton's Wires), and she continues to groom their dogs. Lynn shows them to their Championships - and many have been achieved.
